Mitt Romney is becoming the #1 topic in hip-hop.

Shortly after getting Nicki Minaj’s non-endorsement in Lil Wayne’s “Dedication 4″ mix tape (LISTEN HERE), the Republican presidential candidate has earned a mention in “To The World,” Kanye West’s new track from his Cruel Summer album.

In the song, West raps, “I’m just trying to protect my stacks / Mitt Romney don’t pay no tax / Mitt Romney don’t pay no tax.”

Hmm.

Probably not the kind of shout-out Romney was hoping to get.

That said, a flat out endorsement of President Obama might be tough after Obama called West a “jackass.”

    Mitt Romney may pay a ridiculously low tax rate for his income (about 15%), but he does indeed pay tax. When Kanye first hit the music scene, his writing was poignant and reflective. He brought awareness to issues like blood diamonds and was a musical genius. Then he met Kim Kardashian and his creative juices dried up. In the past he acted like a moron when not recording music (Exhibit A is the infamous interruption of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech), but his music was always cutting edge and amazing. Kanye really needs to get his head out of his butt so he can get back to making amazing music.

    He pays that because he’s living off investments and isn’t working – he paid the going rate when he made the money originally and is now paying about 13% because he’s living off those funds so in essence he’s paying twice as we all do when we invest and then live off of these funds when we’re not working. It’s a crime and no one should have to do that. Our tax structure is horrendous.

    Guess someone should remind this idiot that Obama staff has 36+ staff members that owe close to $900,000 in back taxes. Romney isn’t being charged with not paying taxes – just not showing all his taxes. But you can speak logic with someone who only understands stupid!
