Kanye West was introduced as the “future president” by Jared Leto at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Festival on Friday. Watch below!

As Gossip Cop reported, West was one of the A-list artists lined up to perform at the two-night event. For the first concert on Friday night, held at the MGM Grand Arena, Demi Lovato, Sam Smith, Coldplay, and more big names took the stage. Not surprisingly, though, it was West who had the honor of closing the show.

Celebrities were on hand on to introduce each act, and Leto was chosen to handle duties for West. The Oscar winner and the 30 Seconds to Mars front man said, “Visionary, artist, madman, musician, producer, provocateur, designer, director, innovator, husband, father, and, just maybe, the future president of the United States of America.” He then announced, “Ladies and gentlemen, the one, the only Kanye West.”

And that wasn’t the only nod to West’s presidential inspirations. During his performance of “Only One,” the rapper reportedly added “2020” to the end of the lyric, “You’ll be the man I always knew you’d be.” As Gossip Cop reported, West unexpectedly announced he intends to run for president in 2020 at the end of his MTV Video Music Awards speech last month. The music star hasn’t indicated how serious he is about it, but it’s clearly still on his mind. Check out the video below!
