Kanye West Didn’t Fire 30 Staffers In ‘Meltdown,’ Despite Report
Kanye West did not have a “meltdown” and fire 30 staffers after his fashion show last month in New York, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this inaccurate claim that was picked up widely by outlets that didn’t bother to fact-check the story. We’re told it “didn’t happen.”
According to the New York Post, West had a “massive meltdown,” and “fired all his staff” after his most recent Yeezy fashion show during New York Fashion Week. A so-called “insider” tells the tabloid, “He had his agent fire all 30 of his staff after the fashion show.” But that’s not all. The newspaper’s supposed “insider” further contends the rapper and fashion designer “got rid of his phone so people can only contact him via email.” “He had a nervous breakdown after the show, and that’s what triggered it all,” alleges the outlet’s misguided source.
And while his season four collection was not received well, his response was not as reported by the tabloid. A rep for West exclusively assures Gossip Cop that the “meltdown,” as claimed by the paper, “didn’t happen” nor did he fire 30 staffers.
This isn’t the first Post story about West that Gossip Cop has corrected. Four year ago, we busted the publication when it wrongly stated West and Kim Kardashian were “cooling off.” And then after they got married, we shot down an inaccurate article that falsely alleged Kris Jenner was upset Kardashian and West didn’t sell their wedding photos, and instead shared them for free. Much like those reports, the latest about West having a “meltdown” and firing 30 staffers is also untrue.
