Kanye West: Donald Trump Meeting About “Multicultural Issues”
“I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues,” West wrote. “These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago. I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.”
And, apparently, West no longer plans to run for president in 2020. Instead, he tweeted, “#2024.” The hashtag suggests the performer is expecting Trump to have two terms in office, and won’t run against him in four years.
West’s tweets on the meeting were not only his first Twitter posts since his hospitalization, but his first messages to fans in more than a month. Prior to today, he last tweeted in October for wife Kim Kardashian’s birthday. And the tweets came hours after West surprisingly showed up to Trump Tower.
As Gossip Cop reported earlier, following their private meeting in Trump Tower, Trump and West spent about 40 seconds in front of the media. As the President-elect said they had been friends for a “long time,” the press questioned the music star about his own intentions to run for office, and why he wanted to meet with the mogul. West, however, said at that moment he just wanted to take pictures.
