Kanye West Did NOT Diss Kim Kardashian With VMAs Speech, Despite Report
Kanye West did NOT diss Kim Kardashian by giving a shout out to Amber Rose during his speech at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, despite a ridiculous webloid report. Gossip Cop can correct this claim.
As Gossip Cop reported, West delivered a speech at the 2016 VMAs, during which he addressed his feud with Taylor Swift, his “Famous” music video, gun violence in America, his role models and much more. The rapper name-dropped a lot of people from the stage, including his ex-girlfriend Rose, to whom he said, “I see you Amber.” But now Celeb Dirty Laundry is trying to make it seem as if West’s speech was somehow dedicated to Rose, and claiming his reference to her was a supposed insult to Kardashian.
But of course, just a few of the other notable names West also mentioned during his speech were Taylor Swift, Donald Trump, Anna Wintour, Ray J, Jaden Smith, Chance the Rapper, 2 Chainz, and even Kardashian, about whom he said, “My wife is a G.” But CDL has chosen to ignore every other aspect of the rapper’s speech, and baselessly say he has an “obsession” with Rose. Without a single source to back up its purely speculative claim, the site further reports that West’s speech “is no doubt causing trouble for his marriage.”
The site then goes on to say West is “putting a spotlight on [Rose], much to the dismay of his own wife,” despite the model being just one of numerous stars he mentioned. The repeatedly discredited webloid adds, “If the rapper was truly happy and in love with wife, there would be no reason for him to be thinking about Amber Rose, let alone utter her name out loud.”
Despite CDL’s attempt to make it seem as if West got up on stage at the VMAs and professed his love for Rose, it’s clear no such incident occurred. The site could have just as easily picked any of the other famous names mentioned by the rapper and concocted a story around one of them. Regardless, West didn’t diss Kardashian, nor is there any trouble in their marriage. This is simply a non-story.
