Kanye West Deletes Donald Trump Tweets
Kanye West deleted all of his tweets related to Donald Trump on Monday. Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for the rapper for more information about why he removed all mentions of the president from his Twitter account.
As Gossip Cop reported, West visited Trump Tower in Manhattan in December for a meeting with the president. The rapper later explained in a series of tweets why he asked for the sit-down. “I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues,” West noted. “These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago. I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change.”
The rapper went on to tweet the hashtag “#2024,” implying that he plans to run for president once Trump completes two terms in office. Prior to that tweet, West had previously announced that he would run in 2020, and now it remains to be seen if he’ll actually go up against Trump in the next election.
It’s unclear if West deleted all of his tweets pertaining to Trump because he’s unhappy with his performance as president, or for a different reason. Gossip Cop is still waiting to hear back from West’s rep for further clarification.
