Kanye West, Kim Kardashian NOT Spending $100,000 On Couples Therapy
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are NOT spending $100,000 a month on couples therapy, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the story. As it turns out, the couple isn’t doing joint counseling at all.
But the story wrongly claiming otherwise can be found in this week’s OK!. “Kim & Kanye’s Sky-High Therapy Bills,” reads the headline, with it being said, “It’s not surprise to hear that the Kardashian-West family has been spending a bundle on mental health care. But the exact amount is staggering.” Citing a “source,” the magazine alleges “they’re blowing through ‘well over $100,000 a month.'”
That total is supposedly for “twice-daily sessions of talk therapy, as well as an on-call, 24-hour-a-day shrink.” The outlet’s snitch claims, “Kim isn’t taking any chances. She wants for herself and Kanye to make a full recovery, and she doesn’t bat an eye at someone who charges thousands of dollars per session.” The tipster adds that Kardashian will “spend any amount to get better.”
Gossip Cop has no doubt that the reality star is committed to improving her well-being as well as that of her husband, but these details aren’t accurate. West and Kardashian, though still united in marriage, are not doing therapy together. Any counseling they’ve sought has been on an individual, separate basis. And, we’re told, the dollar amount thrown out by the tabloid is off base.
Of course, this is all coming from the same outlet that ridiculously, and falsely, alleged the Paris robbery was a hoax because of supposed inconsistencies in Kardashian’s story. The real problem, though, isn’t with the star. It’s with OK!’s dreadful “reporting.”
