Kanye West BLASTS Wiz Khalifa: “You Wouldn’t Have A Child If It Wasn’t For Me”
Khalifa actually threw the first stone on Tuesday night, after West announced he was changing the name of his upcoming album from Swish to Wave. The new title became a trending topic, and Khalifa, without mentioning West by name, fired off a number of tweets dissing it. “Please don’t take the wave,” he tweeted.
Khalifa went on, “Max B is the wavy one. He created the wave. There is no wave without him.” Continuing to reference the imprisoned but industry-respected rapper, who put had several Wave mixtapes, Khalifa continued, “Im a wavy baby for sure and I’m not having it. He’s the reason I sing on all my songs. That’s the wave. If theres nothing wit that sound ITS NOT WAVY.” Hours later, he added, “Hit this kk and become yourself.”
West apparently though “KK” was an allusion to his wife Kim Kardashian. It was not. In Khalifa’s world, “KK” stands for “Khalifa Kush,” the nickname he gives to his weed. But West erupted on Twitter Wednesday over what he interpreted as a comment about his wife, not to mention the disses about his album.
In a rambling rant, West began, “Oh ni**as must think I’m not petty cause I’m the best that’s ever made music. Like, oh that’s Ye and I can put his wife’s initials on my twitter @Wizkhalifa.” The Grammy winner continued, “Bro first of all you stole your whole shit from Cudi Second, your first single was corny as f*ck and most there after.”
After accusing Khalifa of “distract[ing] from my creative process” and bizarrely complimenting his “cool pants,” West went on to slam his fellow rapper, and the tweets became increasingly personal. “3rd no one I know has ever listened to one of your albums all the way through,” wrote West. “4th you let a stripper trap you.”
The references to their mutual ex Amber Rose continued, with West saying, “I know you mad every time you look at your child that this girl got you for 18 years.” He even added, “You wouldn’t have a child if it wasn’t for me.”
West repeatedly said he is Kahlifa’s “OG” and demanded to “be respected as such. “Don’t you ever in your f*cking life speak sideways about a ni**a that’s fighting for us I do this for all of u,” he tweeted, further saying, “I showed you respect as a man when I met you… Ni**a I tried to call you and you changed your number
“13th You own waves???? I own your child!!!!” exclaimed West. “14th Ni**a it’s called creativity #youshouldtryitsomeday.” For “16th,” he wrote, “Don’t even hint at mentioning me my family or my wife I am your OG.” He then, however, went back to praising Khalifa, saying, “I think you dress cool I wish I was skinny and tall.” He added, however, “Maybe I couldn’t be skinny and tall but I’ll settle for being the greatest artist of all time as a consolation.”
When West finally wrapped up, he concluded, “Don’t ever ever ever come out the side of your mutherf*cking neck bro or bruh or however you say it Mr. Waves. I’m YE and I ain’t gotta say it the right way I’m Ye I’m Ye I’m Ye I’m Ye I’m Ye I’m Ye I’m Ye. Thank you for the extra promotion #WAVES available February 11th.”
Less than 30 minutes later, though, West returned to Twitter with a new attitude. “What’s sad is I love Wiz and I love all all my brothers and all people. I love the world bottom line and all I want is peace and positive energy,” he tweeted. “This album is actually a Gospel album. Good energy positive energy.”
For his part, Khalifa has only sent two tweets in response so far. In the first, he told West, “KK is weed fool. Reason’s why your not wavy. Go bacc to Swish.” He then wrote, “I been smashed the idea of that album even existing. I got joints to roll @kanyewest.” At this point, neither Kardashian nor Rose have weighed in, though the model famously feuded with the Kardashians last year.
UPDATE: West returned to Twitter again to say, “Ima take these down cause it’s all about positive energy blessings blessings positive energy blessings.” You can see screengrabs of all the tweets from before they were deleted below.
“The Devil can’t stop us,” West added. He further said, “Man it’s a sad a day… Wiz lost 2 million followers since I tweeted. I didn’t mean to either him like that. I’m happy that I now know that KK means weed… please excuse the confusion… now back to #WAVES.”
