Justin Timberlake returned to the stage for the first time since becoming a father when he joined Taylor Swift at her last 1989 concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The crowd went wild as the two stars performed a duet of Timberlake’s 2013 hit “Mirrors.” Watch the video below.

Swift introduced her longtime friend and teenage crush by telling the audience, “This has been so hard to keep a secret. You have no idea.” The singer added, “He’s been a great friend to me, and will be remembered as one of the greatest musicians of our generation.” She further praised Timberlake by noting, “Justin hasn’t performed since he became a dad, so I’m just honored that this is his first performance.”

As Gossip Cop previously reported, before bringing out Timberlake, Swift teamed up with Selena Gomez for a rendition of her hit “Good For You” and later invited “Friends” star Lisa Kudrow onstage to perform her classic “Smelly Cat.” But it was Timberlake who was the biggest draw. “Anyone who knows me knows that this is my favorite artist. I am obsessed with his music,” said Swift, adding, “It is the one thing that everyone in the world has in common.” And with that, she and Timberlake launched into a performance of “Mirrors.”
