Justin Timberlake Joining Britney Spears Las Vegas Show?
Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake are not getting back together again onstage, despite a fabricated tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the made-up story. We’re told the claim is entirely “erroneous.”
According the often discredited In Touch, Spears and Timberlake could be “getting back together” at Spears’ Las Vegas show Piece Of Me. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “Britney called Justin out of the blue and said she wanted him to come to Vegas and do a series of concerts with her.” The seemingly manufactured (or totally ill-informed) “source” alleges Timberlake was at first “shocked,” since he hasn’t heard from Spears in years, but was then “definitely intrigued” about joining her residency at Planet Hollywood.
After noting how Timberlake and Spears were once the power couple of their day before splitting up in 2002, the outlet’s supposed “source” notes, “Justin has no animosity toward her as all.” The questionable “source” adds, “[Timberlake] thinks Brit’s idea is a good one and that reconnecting with her would be a good idea.”
What would have been a better idea is if whoever made up this story didn’t have it published at all. A source close to Spears exclusively tells Gossip Cop that Timberlake was not approached to join her onstage for a few shows in Las Vegas. We are assured the tabloid’s tale is completely “erroneous.”
We’re not surprised, however, the story is so off-base. In Touch seems to have terrible Timberlake sources, having previously claimed five years ago that he was going “bald,” as well as later falsely alleging he was cheating on Jessica Biel with Olivia Wilde and Scarlett Johansson. It’s also the same outlet that Gossip Cop has corrected for its slew of inaccurate Spears stories, including her demanding stripper poles be installed in her hotel rooms, and wrongly reporting last week that she’s adopting a baby girl from China.
