Justin Theroux Mocks Tabloids For False Narratives About Jennifer Aniston
Justin Theroux is mocking the tabloids for creating false narratives about his relationship with Jennifer Aniston that make them seem more like “characters” than “real people.” To back up the actor’s sentiment, Gossip Cop has compiled a few examples of phony reports about the couple that we exclusively busted.
In a new interview with United Airline’s in-flight magazine, Rhapsody, the actor calls out publications such as the National Enquirer and In Touch for constantly printing lies about his marriage. “I think it would be funny to do a compilation of those headlines,” he says. “Let’s assume these characters we play in the tabloids are real people. I would love to take them to a shrink and have them analyzed.”
Theroux goes on to say that the tabloids’ constantly changing reports, which include tales of divorce, pregnancy, breakups, and makeups, make him and Aniston seem like “the most bipolar people on the planet.” He added, “Someone should give a clinical diagnosis of one year in our lives. It would be super funny. What medication would you give these people to help them out?”
One example of the types of phony reports that the actor is referencing is an In Touch cover story falsely claiming that Theroux and Aniston had split over his ex-girlfriend Heidi Bivens. The tabloid alleged that the actor walked out on his wife after she confronted him about being in contact with Bivens, but a rep for Theroux exclusively assured us the entire report was fabricated. It should also be noted, that same story had the couple getting back together by the end of the article.
Gossip Cop also previously debunked an Enquirer cover story claiming that Aniston and Theroux were getting a divorce over a “cheating scandal.” Only, reps for both stars exclusively confirmed to Gossip Cop that the magazine’s allegations were untrue. In another shameless attempt at creating a nonexistent narrative, In Touch wrongly reported in a cover story that Aniston was pregnant with a baby girl. A few months later, however, the tabloid published a follow-up cover story alleging Aniston had a miscarriage.
Of course, these are just a few of the countless fake news reports about the couple that Gossip Cop has busted over the years. See a photo gallery below of some phony cover stories about Aniston and Theroux courtesy of In Touch and the Enquirer.
