Justin Theroux did not send Brad Pitt a “message” to stay away from Jennifer Aniston, despite a ridiculous new webloid report. Gossip Cop can expose what’s really going on.

Celeb Dirty Laundry published an article noting that Theroux and Aniston looked affectionate during a trip to Paris last week, and decided to arbitrarily tie her ex-husband into the narrative. The site contends that because Theroux “had his hands all over his wife” during their vacation, he was somehow warning Pitt that she belonged to him.

As Gossip Cop reported, Pitt and Aniston exchanged a few friendly texts earlier this year, but the outlet also falsely claims the actor was using his ex-wife “as a shoulder to cry on” following his split from Angelina Jolie. This wasn’t the case, as the exchange was simply cordial, but the site goes on to say Theroux is worried about Pitt showing interest in his wife. “Justin is her husband and apparently he wants to keep it that way,” adds the frequently unreliable site. “But for Jennifer, she might not feel that way.”

Of course, the site doesn’t have a single source to back up any of this speculation, which it created based on photos of Aniston and Theroux looking happy together. Pitt plays no role in their marriage, and Theroux certainly wasn’t sending the actor a “message” by acting loving towards his wife.

In fact, Gossip Cop previously busted CDL for its similarly bogus claim that Theroux warned Pitt to stay away from Aniston through an Instagram photo. The actor had shared a graffiti portrait by artist Nick Flatt which included dozens of phrases scribbled on wall. One of the phrases, which was buried among a crowded of collection of other words, said “F*ck Brad Pitt.” The outlet insisted, “This is Justin’s way of telling Brad to back off from his wife,” but the actor was seemingly unaware the photo included the message, and late wrote on his Instagram, “NOT ‘shading’ anyone.”
