Justin Bieber “What Do You Mean?” NRJ Awards Video: Watch Performance!
Justin Bieber performed “What Do You Mean?” at the 2015 NRJ Music Awards on Saturday. Check out the video below!
Now in its 17th year, the annual event hosted in Cannes by the French radio station NRJ celebrates the best in not just local music, but offerings from across the globe. Bieber was on hand to receive the NRJ Award of Honor, which also went to Adele. She, too, performed as well.
Prior to taking the stage, Bieber goofed off on the red carpet, giving one of the commentators bunny ears. He also showed off a little French. Come performance time, Bieber had changed outfits and was accompanied by female back-up dancers.
The superstar teased the performance earlier in the day, writing, “#NRJAwards2015 tonight. Good rehearsal. @NickDeMoura messed up but we forgive him. Lol.” Thankfully, the live performance seemed to go off without incident. The same, unfortunately, could not be said for his time in France before the ceremony.
As Gossip Cop reported, video emerged showing Bieber knocking over a chair at a restaurant, leading to reports that he was angry at fans for stalking to him. The singer took to Twitter to call out Perez Hilton for sensationalizing the incident, and fans quickly came to his defense. In fact, many started sharing funny videos of chairs being thrown, which Bieber retweeted.
Bieber’s time in Europe has all been to promote his new album, Purpose, which will be released this Friday. Watch the NRJ Awards performance below!
