Justin Bieber “What Do You Mean?” Acoustic — WATCH VIDEO!
Justin Bieber released the acoustic version of “What Do You Mean?” on Tuesday, along with its music video, hours after it was revealed the single has become the superstar’s first number one song. Watch below!
Bieber posted his new music video not to his official YouTube Vevo page, but to his “kidrauhl” YouTube account, the same place he uploaded music when he was discovered by Scooter Braun. Since then, he’s reserved that space for only his most special clips. He wrote in the new video’s description, “thank u my beliebers. this is for u.”
The video begins with Bieber and longtime guitarist Dan Kanter sitting on a couch as they perform the hit track. Intercut is footage from the star’s everyday life: skateboarding, doing media interviews, and goofing around. There’s glimpses of Bieber’s jet-setting life, the times he pauses for personal reflection, and the attention he pays to the fans he randomly encounters.
Other scenes show Bieber at the VMAs, a time-lapse of the crooner in the recording studio, and impressively riding a wave. In fact, it all seems to be a compilation of the things he loves most. At the end, it’s revealed the video is a “Rory Kramer Vision.” As Gossip Cop reported, Bieber spent time with Kramer in Indiana just a few days ago.
“Thanks for breaking the spotify record and making us #1. As promised #WhatDoYouMean acoustic :)” Bieber tweeted shortly after debuting the video. He broke Spotify’s record for the most-streamed song in 24 hours last week, before it was revealed this week that “What Do You Mean?” is the number one song on the Billboard Hot 100, the first of his career. Bieber recently said the songs on his upcoming album were created to still sound just as good stripped down, and he’s definitely proving his point here. Check out video below, and tell us what you think of “What Do You Mean?” as an acoustic song.
