Justin Bieber: ‘I’m Just … Nuts’
“I’m just … nuts. But I think the best [musicians] probably are,” says Justin Bieber, who is featured on the February cover of Vanity Fair, with an accompanying story that takes a peek at his relationship with fans, musical influences and newfound mega-fame.
Citing Michael Jackson as one of his major influences, Bieber tells the mag, “Michael was able to reach audiences from young to old; he never limited himself… Everybody loved him, and that’s what my goal is – to basically make people happy, to inspire them, and to have everyone root for me.”
The wide-ranging profile also touches on God, girls and Grandpa Bieber, who says of his superstar grandson, “He was supposed to be a hockey player.”
Usher also weighs in on his protege: “You could immediately tell that this [was] a kid who has style – he’s a hip kid.”
But music isn’t the only thing on the 16-year-old’s mind. He really wants to go to the moon one day.
The teen hearthrob also reveals he suffers from insomnia from time to time. “I just turn over all night and think. My mind races. I think about all the things I didn’t have time to think about during the day – like family and God,” he says.
