Oh for Gods sake who is really surprised by this? Most young people and even old people smoke pot. Musicians in general are well known to smoke both pot and cigarettes. Someday it will be legal in all of the USA just like alcohol is for people over a certain age and I’ll be glad when that day happens. If some kid is going to start smoking pot because they see their idol smoking it then they have more problems then just being a fan of Bieber.

Weed…fine. At that age or earlier (12) most boys and girls experiments with sex, cigarettes, booze and weed. Hard drugs and alcohol DOES kill people. Some of my best friends died through this way. I do hope that Justin makes the right decisions.

First of all the kid is no longer a kid. According to the law he’s an adult. Second when has it become the responsibility of a celebrity “kid” to be a role model? I think maybe that’s the problem with children today is that rather than having their parents as role models their parents have left that job up to celebrities.
The only thing about celebrities to look up to is that most of them have worked very very hard and continue to do so for what they have. I know from the outside it looks easy, but 18 hour work days, shooting videos in blistering heat or freezing cold, doing a two hour concert in one city and 24 hours later doing it again in another is a lot of work. Add to that doing it all under the eagle eyes of 30 people watching you and commenting and judging your life will probably make you a bit crazy.
And third, marijuana is not really illegal in California. You can freely get it with a med card, and you can get one of those for pretty much any ailment. I personally would rather see someone smoking pot than popping prescription pills, that certainly didn’t help Lindsey Lohan who’s main issues were prescription pills, and alcohol. Last time I checked no one has ever OD’d from smoking a bowl, but we’ve lost plenty of talented people to prescription pills and alcohol.
I personally don’t smoke. I don’t like pot, and I have no interest, but I also don’t like McDonald’s (which by the way is probably worse for you than pot). Does that mean I should stand outside of McD’s everyday and shame anyone who walks in?

Here’s your problem. #1 it’s actual LEGAL in many states now including California. Please learn your facts. And even if it’s not how gives a damn people have done it and still do for years. #2 that person CLEARLY SAID weed. They did not say anything about “little” so clearly you should get some classes and learn how to freaking read. #3. Weed actually does not and being someone who teaches about drugs in law enforcement to Tweens and other young adults I would know. You obviously do not. Especially when i know for a FACT of two adults now over the age of 50 who have smoked weed since the age of their teens and are perfectly fine and in better conduction than yourself and more successful I’m sure. #4 the only problem is that you care when you don’t even know him and he sure as heck isn’t your child.

Yes, it is addictive in the sense that you can be per say “addicted” to anything you enjoy doing and would like to do it often such as a sport or hobby. Quitters experience few if any withdrawal symptoms that accompany actual deadly drugs. As to the gateway part, statistics that show this are somewhat erroneous in that if people are going to use harder drugs they’ll obviously use less harmful drugs such as marijuana. If someone isn’t going to use drugs at all they’re not in the statistic for either marijuana or harder drugs giving the illusion that marijuana will cause an individual to proceed on to harmful, harder drugs. I’m also furious that some people are blowing up about the marijuana that is present but noone seems to be at all perturbed by the exceedingly more harmful substance alcohol which litters the room. The best thing is to be completely drug free like me i have never done drugs in my 43 yr life, I have been asked if i wanted some drugs, I know people who have done drugs and who have gotten busted for doing drugs even people who haven’t done drugs but were with people who did have drugs got busted.

Main issue should not be weed ,it should be a push for more regulations of paparatzi ,limiting anything that in turn could hurt the photographer ,the subject and what environment they are In. Whether its while driving , during personal ceremonies,such as funerals & weddings, in court situations or any event that would crowed an area that ,leaving no room for an emergency exit to any of the above individuals.
Yes Hollywood stardom comes with the price of losing your normal freedom of privacy but thrre should definitely have a penal code stating the above actions which would allow a judicial presence to determine if a code of law was used that resulted in an injury or death to any personnel involved.
