Justin Bieber Did NOT “Instigate” Selena Gomez “Reunion,” Despite Report
Justin Bieber did NOT “instigate” a “reunion” with Selena Gomez, despite a new tabloid report from a perennially clueless webloid that seemingly prefers writing fan fiction rather than delivering facts. Gossip Cop can once again correct the messy “reporting.”
The fabrication factory known as HollywoodLife has been in a tizzy ever since it was revealed that Bieber and Gomez spent time together on Wednesday. The site spent Thursday posting sensational story after sensational story, much of it made up and off base. HollywoodLies, as it’s known, rarely has real sources, so it posts whatever it wants in hopes of tricking both readers and Google into giving the outlet traffic.
In one supposed “exclusive,” HollywoodLife claims Bieber “begged” Gomez to reunite after she “cut off” contact with him earlier this month. “Justin is the one who reached out to Selena and instigated the reunion,” a so-called “insider” for the webloid claims. “When he found out that Selena was basically done with him after hearing about his date with Jayde [Pierce], HE contacted her more than once saying that he needed to see her, that it was important.”
Here’s what’s really going on: HollywoodLife saw In Touch magazine’s story about Gomez supposedly being devastated after Bieber was seen with Pierce earlier this month. Without bothering to fact-check the article, the site built a new around the allegations and the new Bieber-Gomez sighting. But as Gossip Cop reported earlier Thursday, the In Touch story was completely wrong. And this new report is, too.
Bieber did NOT “beg” for or “instigate” a “reunion” with Gomez. As Gossip Cop exclusively reported, they are NOT back together as a couple. The exes were only together due to their shared pastor, Rich Wilkerson, Jr., who even retweeted a fan message thanking HIM for the group hangout. That’s all that’s going on for now.
Gossip Cop has consistently been accurate with reporting on Bieber and Gomez’s many reconciliations and breakups over the years. HollywoodLife, however, is the site Gomez herself said is “never true. Ever.” Don’t forget it.
