Justin Bieber New Rolling Stone Cover: “Bad Boy” Falls From Grace
Justin Bieber is the new Rolling Stone cover boy — but the profile of the singer is less than flattering.
In a preview of the full article, the magazine says it investigates the “the egg-throwing, hard-partying, drag-racing, arrest-resisting, brother-patronizing, lightning-quick fall of a pop icon.”
According to the report, insiders place much of the blame on Bieber’s dad Jeremy. “His father’s not a great influence,” says a Rolling Stone source. “They’re almost not like father and son — it’s more like two best friends.”
According to the magazine, following the star’s arrest in Miami last month, three authority figures — Bieber’s mentor Usher, mom Pattie Mallette and manager Scooter Braun — flew to Panama to meet with the troubled singer.
It’s described by the outlet’s source not as an intervention, but rather as a “conversation, reminding him of the people who care about him, and to consider things to do about it.”
Following the Panama summit, Bieber and his father “took off on an even more out-of-control trip,” says Rolling Stone, including their allegedly pot-filled flight to New York for the Super Bowl.
The magazine cites the police incident report, which claims the Biebers were “verbally abusive to a flight attendant,” forcing her to hide in the cockpit with the pilots, who were supposedly “overcome” by the marijuana smoke.
According to Rolling Stone, stress began to take its toll on Bieber early in his career. Backstage in 2010, the singer reportedly “broke down in tears,” upset about his lack of privacy. “If you want the Michael Jackson career, you have to grasp that you are never going to be normal again,” Braun is quoted as telling him.
Gossip Cop will have more from the Rolling Stone article when the full profile is released.
