CLAIM: Justin Bieber Had “Affair With Rihanna,” Cheated on Selena Gomez

Justin Bieber had an “affair with Rihanna,” blares the cover of Life & Style, which claims the singer’s alleged indiscretion is the real reason behind his split from Selena Gomez.

According to the tabloid, Gomez dumped Bieber in December after she supposedly “heard the shocking news that Justin had cheated on her — with Rihanna.”

A so-called “friend” of the former couple tells the mag, “It was devastating for her. It really cut like a knife because it happened in February of 2011, when Selena and Justin had been dating for months and were falling in love.”

So this alleged bombshell scandal occurred two years ago, and it’s just getting out now? More importantly, Bieber was only 16 years old in February 2011, meaning that if he and Rihanna did in fact hook up, she could be charged with a felony in California.

That’s a pretty serious claim the mag is throwing out there.

Anyhow, the tab’s purported “insider” says Bieber “would never tell anyone he messed around with Rihanna because it would make him look like a dirty dog.”

Right… and yet this particular “pal” of the pop star knows all about the supposed tryst?

The “friend” goes on to say that Gomez now thinks Bieber and Rihanna have been “hooking up all along,” with the pal speculating the cheating occurred at Rihanna’s L.A. home “or in a room at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, where Justin likes to stay.”

Again, this “friend” certainly knows a great many intimate details about this alleged affair which Bieber would supposedly never admit to.

Another “insider” for the tabloid says Bieber and Rihanna may have continued their “affair” while filming the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last November.

Life & Style’s purported spy tattles, “During breaks, they’d sneak away to the Hotel Giraffe. They were alone — their security made sure of it. Hotel staff blocked off the entire floor for them.”

Enough already.

Does the magazine truly not realize how ridiculous this report sounds?

Bieber is the same age as Rihanna’s little brother, and the pair’s relationship has never been anything more than platonic, nor does the tab have any concrete evidence to suggest otherwise.

Still, Gossip Cop checked with a source close to Rihanna, who laughed off the mag’s story, telling us it’s totally FALSE.

A rep for Bieber similarly dismissed the BOGUS report.
