Justin Bieber “Headed For Rehab,” Selena Gomez Staging “Intervention”?

“On the heels of his heartbreaking Grammy snub and breakup from Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber’s reckless partying has his loved ones scared to death and begging him to enter rehab!” begins a breathless piece from Star.

The tabloid then rehashes its old, false story alleging the pop star had a “drug-fueled hookup with nursing student Milyn ‘Mimi’ Jenson,” saying that supposed incident is only “the tip of the iceberg.”

According to the mag, Bieber has been “frequently smoking marijuana, drinking the street cocktail ‘sizzurp,’ driving recklessly and partying to all hours of the night.”

A purported “insider” tells the tab, “He’s spiraling fast. Everyone in his inner circle is talking about staging an intervention.”

Star’s so-called “source” goes on to claim that Bieber’s mom Pattie Mallette is “so scared about Justin’s emotional state and crazy partying that she even enlisted Selena to talk some sense into him.”

“She’s at her wits’ end and hopes that Selena can still have an affect on Justin,” adds the “insider.”

Hmm…

If this story sounds a bit familiar, that’s because the tab’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, ran virtually the same report last month.

It wasn’t true then, and it’s not true now.

In any case, a source close to Bieber tells Gossip Cop the piece is simply BOGUS, and that Mallette has made no such request of Gomez.

    He doesn’t appear “headed” toward anything to me except an eventual (probably messy) meltdown and the impending end of his proverbial fifteen minutes. As for her, if anything Ms. Gomez’ tweets for the past several days would seem to indicate that she’s in a serious tailspin herself. She’s certainly in no position to “intervene” in anyone else’s life at a time when her own seems to be completely out of control.
