Justin Bieber prayed for Paris and broke down crying during “An Evening With Justin Bieber” on Friday. Check out the videos below.
As Gossip Cop reported, Bieber held three intimate concerts at the Staples Center in Los Angeles to celebrate the release of his new album, Purpose. It was during the first show that Paris was rocked by several coordinated attacks that killed more than 120 people and left at least 200 injured. Bieber first learned of the tragedy after leaving the stage between shows.
“Had a great first show but just heard about what happened in Paris. Thoughts and prayers with everyone #PrayForParis,” he tweeted. Bieber then said in a since-deleted tweet that he would still move forward with the live stream of the second show in hopes of bringing “light and hope to those who are hurting.” When the show began, Bieber was joined by his pastor for a group prayer.
The superstar said, “God, we just thank you so much. Through all the pain, through all the darkness, God, you still shine your light. Help us to just focus on you through it all and not be distracted, God. We just pray for the families and we pray for our restoration and just peace.”
“I know it must be so tough for them. I can’t even imagine it,” continued Bieber. “But God, we just thank you and we trust you, even though it’s hard, it’s hard for the families, we just trust you, and we pray. Amen.”
Later in the show, Bieber broke down in tears after singing one of his new songs, “I’ll Show You.” He said to the crowd, “We’re all in this together.” And then to himself, “Why am I crying so hard? Get it together, Justin!”
Afterward Bieber tweeted, “You guys just got me crying. Damn. I missed this and u. Thank u so much. Thank you. #EveningWithJB #Purpose.” He later posted a photo of himself crying on Instagram, writing, “Tears are healthy.” Watch the emotional videos below.
