Justin Bieber Tells Perez Hilton “Don’t Lie” After “#JustinHatesHisFansParty” Trends
Justin Bieber defended himself on Saturday morning as “#JustinHatesHisFansParty” became a trending topic on Twitter and Perez Hilton helped sensationalize a video showing the superstar knocking over a chair. See the clip below.
Over the last month, there have been a few incidents that have led some to accuse Bieber of being ungrateful for his fans. Last week, for instance, he was seen calling off a performance after attendees at a TV taping in Olso refused to let him wipe water off the front of the stage so he wouldn’t slip. Though he issued an apology, the perception grew stronger on Saturday after footage surfaced showing the singer getting up from a restaurant table in France and knocking over the chair.
It was said by Perez and other outlets that Bieber was annoyed because was being stalked by fans. That prompted the hashtag “#JustinHatesHisFansParty” as some ridiculed the former child star, while some Beliebers attempted to point out he’s actually very generous with the fan base. Bieber himself ultimately took to Twitter to set the record straight.
After Perez tweeted “Watch #JustinBieber allegedly flip out at fans & flip a chair HERE” with the hashtag, Bieber replied, “lol. No one is flipping out dude. My buddy had just told me some bad personal news. Don’t lie please.” He went on to write, “Just took pics with a bunch of beliebers. I must of been mad at them. Lol,” and “Like I said. This album says it all. #IllShowYou #PURPOSE.”
“Don’t listen to what the media has to say,” continued Bieber. “U want to know me. How I feel. What I’m about. It is all right here.” He added, “Letting the music do the talking,” and shared a gif of a chair being thrown with the caption, “I love you.”
Bieber will step out later Saturday for the NRJ Music Awards, where he’ll be performing. This Friday, his album Purpose will finally be released. Check out the chair video below, and tell us what you think.
