Justin Bieber Fans Upset ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ Not Performed On ‘Purpose’ Tour
Justin Bieber kicked off his Purpose world tour in Seattle on Wednesday, but despite the concert being mostly adored by fans, a few were left disappointed. Many people on social are upset that the singer has seemingly retired his tradition of inviting a female fan onstage and serenading her with his song “One Less Lonely Girl.” See fan reactions below!
Bieber’s Purpose setlist was recently unveiled, and it includes many hits off his new album, including “Sorry,” “I’ll Show You,” and “What Do You Mean?” The pop star is even performing a few of his old songs, including “Baby” and “Boyfriend.” But missing from the list is “One Less Lonely Girl,” crushing the dreams of female concertgoers who hoped Bieber would one day free them from being a “lonely girl.”
A Twitter user named @cuthbert_unionj wrote, “Okay now I’m gutted, I was so looking forward to one less lonely girl omg.” A fan with the handle @Monnors said, “I can’t get over the fact that Justin does not sing ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ in Purpose tour. This can’t be real.” Meanwhile, a person with the handle @katejackimowicz expressed, “The fact that Justin isn’t doing one less lonely girl on this tour got me like #dreamscrushed.”
Additinally, a fan going by the name @TheBieberSponge simply stated, “Rip one less lonely girl,” while user @NashftChristina admitted, “Honestly Justin Bieber not including one less lonely girl in his tour setlist has broke me as a person.” But a superfan named @sprouselieber won’t give up without a fight, declaring, “PETITION FOR @justinbieber TO PUT ONE LESS LONELY GIRL ON #PURPOSETOUR SETLIST.” Bieber will be touring all around the country through mid-July, before embarking on the European leg of his Purpose tour, which will conclude at the end of November.
