Dozens of Justin Bieber Fans Hurt in Norway Concert Chaos (VIDEO)

Dozens of teenage girls were injured in the pandemonium surrounding Justin Bieber’s free concert in Oslo, Norway on Wednesday.

According to local reports, at least 14 young fans were taken by ambulance to the hospital, and a Red Cross source says 88 people received medical treatment overall.

The previously unannounced concert drew mobs of teenagers to the area around Oslo’s Opera House, triggering stampedes, blocking traffic and causing a public safety nightmare for organizers and law enforcement officials.

In response to security concerns in the hours before he appeared on stage, The Biebs pleaded for safety on Twitter.

The singer urged fans to “listen to the police” and stressed, “I want everything to go to plan but your safety must come first.”

Oslo’s mayor, Fabian Stang, was caught up in the chaos himself, reportedly forced to run behind a tree to avoid being trampled in the street.

Stang criticized organizers for allowing the situation to become unmanageable, and other local officials have reportedly called for an investigation.

    You can’t ask young fans to listen to the police. Once they hear “free concert” + “Justin Beiber” they WILL go crazy!! They won’t listen to police and won’t care about their safety. Sad but true.

    I honestly can’t stand Beiber but a free concert is nice. It really should of been better organized. Have a tickets only or something….sorta how Lady Gaga had that free concert for some of the biggest fans in Australia.

    Unfortunately for the younger fans you need better control & organization.

    This teens are just a–holes… The only reason I’d run like that in the street was if I was late for something very important or if someone needed help in a matter of life or death…

    How does NYC manage crowd control so successfully? Im sure Bieber has been on GMA and done concerts there without all this chaos. There are also free concerts in Central Park all summer, New Years Eve in Times Square… I could go on, but you get the point.

    This Bieber incident reminds me of the pandamonium of a Who concert where several females died because of being crushed by the crowd.
