Justin Bieber fans are celebrating the sixth anniversary of his debut EP, My World.

“#6YearsOfMyWorld” became the top trending topic worldwide on Tuesday, and made the trends list in the U.S., too. The social media celebration comes six years to the very day My World was released. The EP dropped on November 17, 2009, kicking off Bieber’s professional career.

The record contained what would be two of Bieber’s first big hits, “One Time” and “One Less Lonely Girl.” A few months later, in March of 2010, My World 2.0 was released as the future superstar’s first full-fledged studio album. My Worlds: The Collection and My Worlds Acoustic followed.

Now six years after the original My World came out, Bieber released his sixth album, Purpose, just a few days ago. And after an up-and-down ride, Beliebers can’t help but marvel over the journey. “Proud of every belieber who stuck by during this rough ride. We deserve this success. PROUD OF HIM,” tweeted one fan.

A different individual similarly wrote, “I can’t believe it’s been 6 years @justinbieber I’m so proud at how far you came.” Yet another commenter said, “I can’t believe it’s been 6 years @justinbieber I’m so proud at how far you came.” Someone else used the hashtag and exclaimed, “Holy….crap….doesn’t feel like it.” And one Belieber predicted, “#6YearsOfMyWorld and he’s still just getting started.”

Many also posted side-by-side photos of Bieber striking similar poses then and now. And yet, the differences are also apparent, especially looking at the album covers above. The messages are reminiscent of the celebration Gossip Cop reported in July when it was six years since “One Time” was released as Bieber’s first single.

Bieber hasn’t commented on the new milestone, but it’s probably just a matter of time. The singer is currently preparing for Wednesday’s “Today” concert, and probably hoping Purpose will give him one more number one album. TELL US: Can you believe it’s been six years since Bieber’s debut?
