Justin Bieber has taken Lady Gaga’s Twitter throne — for the moment.

Late Monday, The Biebs edged past the “Born This Way” singer to become the most-followed person on the social media platform.

As of Tuesday morning, Bieber has 33,335,788 followers, ahead of Gaga’s 33,330,801 Little Monsters.

Yeah — it’s that close.

Katy Perry is currently the third most popular Twitter user with 31,491,407 followers, ahead of Rihanna (27.9 million) and Barack Obama (26.1 million).

If the President decides to enter pop music, he might finally catch up to the leaders.
