Justin Bieber Upset with Israel Paparazzi
Justin Bieber deals with paparazzi wherever he goes, but their constant presence as he tried to visit holy sites in Israel really got under the pop superstar’s skin. In a rare Twitter venting, Bieber expressed frustration with invasive photographers who hounded him during his first day in the country, where he arrived a couple of days ahead of a performance in order to see places of religious importance.
“Amazing place… not a bad day. just wish got a little more space and privacy from the paps to enjoy this time with my family,” he wrote late on Monday. Bieber continued, “[I’m] in the holy land and i am grateful for that. I just want to have the same personal experience that others have here.”
Early this morning, Bieber took a slightly harsher tone with the pests. “You would think paparazzi would have some respect in holy places. All I wanted was the chance to walk where jesus did here in isreal,” he explained. “They should be ashamed of themselves. Take pictures of me eating but not in a place of prayer, ridiculous… People wait their whole lives for opportunities like this, why would they want to take that experience away from someone,” said Bieber. “Staying in the hotel for the rest of the week u happy?”
Bieber then clarified that his frustration was only with the photogs. “It’s not the fans, and some of the paps were nice enough to leave. But some people just don’t have respect.” Here’s hoping Bieber doesn’t have to hide out in his hotel all week… and is afforded the momentary privacy to be a tourist without being harassed.
