Justin Bieber has broken eight Guinness World Records, thanks to his latest album, Purpose, and giant social media following. See the singer’s achievements below!
Bieber is featured in the Guinness World Records 2017 Edition, which includes a brand new selection of record-breaking achievements in the world of celebrities and pop culture. Bieber rules the music section with an impressive eight record-breaking new titles, including the most streamed track on Spotify in one week for “What Do You Mean?,” and the most streamed album on Spotify in one week for Purpose.
The musician has also set the record for the most simultaneous tracks on the U.S. singles chart, the most simultaneous new entries in the Hot 100 by a solo artist, and becoming the first artist to occupy all top three positions simultaneously on the U.K. singles chart. As for social media, Bieber broke records for the most Twitter followers, with more than 85 million total, as well as having both the most viewed music channel and subscribers on YouTube.
Guinness World Records presented Bieber with his certificates last month before one of the singer’s Purpose World Tour concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The Guinness World Records 2017 Edition hits shelves on September 8.
