Justin Bieber’s New Tribute To God: “I’m Average” And Don’t “Deserve Praise”
Justin Bieber shared a new tribute to God late Thursday, after finishing a concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
As Gossip Cop reported, the superstar had back-to-back “Purpose World Tour” shows at the New York venue on Wednesday and Thursday night. And as it all sunk in afterward, he took to Instagram to give thanks to God. In the post, Bieber also argued that he himself is not worthy of the “praise” he receives.
“I am so lucky to share these moments with you, I am so glad God is able to move even when people are blind to it.. I am the one on that stage but I am nothing without a light shining through,” the singer wrote.
Bieber continued, “I’m such an average, ordinary person that doesn’t deserve the praise. I believe it belongs to my God! Thank you God for showing up when we need you the most!” The photo accompanying the message showed the performer standing on stage as fireworks rained down.
Bieber’s post comes about a week after Gossip Cop busted a report that falsely claimed he had “compared” himself to God in a previous Instagram message. We correctly shut down the allegation, and the star himself later backed up our reporting, explaining how he would never dare make such a comparison. See Bieber’s new tribute to God below. NOTE: Bieber has since deactivated his Instagram account, and the post is no longer available.
