Justin Bieber’s Friends Did NOT Start Nightclub Fight, Despite Report
Justin Bieber’s friends were NOT responsible for a fight that broke out at Tape nightclub in London following Wednesday night’s Brit Awards, despite a tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct this claim. The club’s founder tells us Bieber did nothing wrong.
After Bieber’s performance and win for International Male Solo Artist at the awards show, he headed to the London club Tape with a group of pals. A scuffle went down near the singer’s VIP section, and according to the Mirror, Bieber and his crew were directly involved. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “A man from his [VIP] group suddenly launched at someone from outside the group… Bieber looked fuming and the whole thing descended into chaos. Everyone was pushing and shoving.”
The paper’s questionable insider adds, “Security got involved and managed to break it up. Bieber tried to carry on with his night but there was a really tense atmosphere and the club was overcrowded. He then abruptly left out of the back door.” But the only accurate part of the tabloid’s story is that there was a fight inside the club.
Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, the founder of Tape, tells Gossip Cop the incident began when someone snuck a camera into the club and tried to photograph the singer. Tape’s founder says the club has a strict no-camera policy, and “Justin got pissed off” when he spotted the would-be photographer. Security then physically removed the man, which led to a minor brawl. Calthorpe notes it “wasn’t a fight” as much as it was a “bustle.”
And not only did Bieber’s crew play no part in the incident, but the singer never “abruptly left” the club as the tabloid alleges. The Tape’s founder clarifies that the singer actually moved to a back section of the building, where he hung out in a private recording studio and played music for the rest of the night.
