HollywoodLife: Justin Bieber Dyed His Hair Blonde To Forget About Selena Gomez AND Win Her Back… HUH?!
HollywoodLife, possibly the worst entertainment site on the Internet, published this headline on Saturday: “Justin Bieber Dyed His Blonde To Forget About Selena Gomez.” Yes, there’s still a missing word (“hair”), two days later. But the point is: According to HollywoodLife, Bieber dyed his hair to forget about Gomez.
On Monday, HollywoodLife, possibly the worst entertainment site on the Internet, published this headline: “Justin Bieber Dyed His Hair Blonde To Get Selena Gomez’s Attention.” Read that again. According to HollywoodLife, Bieber dyed his hair to win back Gomez. HUH?!
These things are opposites. Maybe the people who run HollywoodLife haven’t gotten to “opposites” in preschool or “Sesame Street” yet. And if that sounds like we’re insulting HollywoodLife’s intelligence, that’s because HollywoodLife earns money by insulting its readers’ intelligence.
HollywoodLife has long spread lies and misinformation about Bieber, Gomez, and dozens of other celebrities, because HollywoodLife apparently thinks its readers are too stupid to remember the last hundred lies HollywoodLife spread, or whether any of those lies are consistent with HollywoodLife’s current lies.
It’s not just us. Selena Gomez herself knows that HollywoodLife is largely a receptacle for lies. Gomez recently said “HollywoodLife is never true. Ever.” As we said recently, Gossip Cop keeps pointing out HollywoodLife’s nonsense because it’s long past time for someone to hold the site accountable for its journalistic sins. Week in, week out, HollywoodLife publishes as many stories about Gomez and Bieber as possible.
It doesn’t matter if these stories make sense. It doesn’t matter if these stories contradict each other. All that matters to HollywoodLife is dangling a rumor in front of fans, hyping and sensationalizing it as much as possible, trying to manipulate Google search results, and taking no responsibility for whether what it says is true or not. HollywoodLife should not be trusted.
