Justin Bieber Plays Drums For Indiana Cover Band — WATCH VIDEO!
When Justin Bieber asks to join your band, is there anything to do besides say yes? That was the scenario an Indiana group called Bonafide found itself in this weekend. Watch below!
The Venue, a bar in Angola, was hosting Bonafide for a typical Friday night gig when none other than Bieber showed up. The superstar was actually among the first to arrive. And the cover band apparently didn’t hesitate when Bieber asked to sit in on drums.
One of Bonafide’s members, Heidi Herber, tells NewsChannel 15, “He just looked like a normal kid in the bar, except for the hat and hoodie.” Once recognized, social media exploded, and a line ended up forming outside the establishment as people tried to get in. Herber said they thanked Bieber for inadvertently bringing people to the show, which grew to be so large The Venue not only stopped letting people in, but also needed police assistance to keep the area safe and secure.
Bieber has become known this year for impromptu performances, though they’ve mostly taken place in Los Angeles. He was in Indiana to visit pal Rory Kramer, who wrote on Instagram, “Not everyday your friend buys a plane ticket to hang out with you. #EnjoyTheSmallThings.” The singer hasn’t mentioned the unexpected appearance on social media, but did tweet on Sunday, “Small town living is the best.” And The Venue posted on Facebook, “Yes gang Justin Bieber was here last night he is in town attending the Auctions America auction in Auburn Indiana! It was pretty freakin sweet if you missed it!!”
Bieber has been playing drums since he was a toddler, and had a “drum-off” with The Roots on “The Tonight Show” just last week. Check out the new video below!
