Justin Bieber NOT “Desperate To Land Movie Role,” Despite Report (EXCLUSIVE)
Justin Bieber is NOT making “desperate attempts to land a movie role,” despite a report that cruelly says the superstar is at the “top of the charts, but the bottom of Hollywood.” Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the claim, which comes from one of the tabloids. A rep for Bieber tells us there is “zero truth” to the story.
According to Star, “industry insiders are scoffing” at Bieber’s alleged big-screen ambitions. A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “Nobody wants him. There are a lot of doors are being slammed in his face, and he can’t believe it. He’s always saying he’s got the movie star looks and charisma, but his attitude stinks.”
The magazine adds that Bieber sees his upcoming Zoolander 2 cameo as a “stepping stone.” The outlet’s “source,” however, claims it won’t lead anywhere. “He wants to be in dramas or thrillers, but at this point, he’d be lucky to land a commercial,” snipes the snitch.
It actually seems like this story was run just because the Zoolander 2 trailer with Bieber was recently released. Because actual journalists, not the “reporters” working at Star, are well aware that the singer is going to be tied up for the foreseeable future with his “Purpose World Tour.” The run of concerts begins in March 2016 and goes through the following November, leaving little time for other projects like movies.
Furthermore, Bieber didn’t spend the last few years working on his musical comeback just to abandon it for a film role. And while the star has expressed an interest in movies over the years, Gossip Cop is exclusively told by Bieber’s rep, “He is going on tour and not focused on film.”
