Justin Bieber Cancels Thanksgiving Day Parade Performance, Stephen Colbert “Late Show” Appearance
Justin Bieber has canceled his Thanksgiving Day Parade performance, as well his appearance on the “Late Show” with Stephen Colbert.
Late Monday night, Bieber tweeted, “My apologies to @colbertlateshow as I won’t be able to make it to nyc tomorrow for the show. I look forward to making it up to you soon.” He added in a follow-up message, “@StephenAtHome thank you for the understanding as sometimes life kicks our ass and we need to deal with it. I will see u soon. Thank you.” His appearance was slated to air on Tuesday night. UPDATE: Colbert replied, “Indeed it sometimes does @justinbieber Happy Thanksgiving!”
Following Bieber’s tweets, it was confirmed he has also pulled out of CBS’ Thanksgiving parade. The superstar was scheduled to pre-tape his performance on Tuesday. Of course, Bieber is Canadian, but Gossip Cop has no doubt his American fans, and those around the world, were looking forward to his contribution.
The Thanksgiving Parade performance had only been announced less than two weeks ago, amid countless promo appearances. The singer has been on a whirlwind global press tour for his new album Purpose, and has alluded to feeling run down. There is speculation that Bieber is struggling personally, but that has not been confirmed. Gossip Cop has reached out for more information.
