Justin Bieber Portugal Concert Canceled “Due to Low Ticket Sales”?

Truth rating: 0

EXCLUSIVE

(Mirror)

Justin Bieber has canceled one of two concerts scheduled this week in Portugal, and the Mirror claims it’s “due to low ticket sales,” and asks, “Are this week’s events to blame?”

“One of the dates in the country will still go ahead, but a second is now off, after a… how do we put this… let’s say ‘eventful’ week in London,” writes the British tab, referring to the singer’s health scare and run-ins with the UK press.

The Mirror goes on to cite “music promoters” as saying that Bieber “cancelled his concert which was due to take place in Lisbon on Tuesday ‘due to unforeseen circumstances.’”

That part is true.

But then the outlet goes even further, noting that “a Portugese newspaper reported that there had not been enough demand for tickets.”

Seriously?

Not enough demand for a singer that just sold out four shows in London?

Please.

Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun tells Gossip Cop exclusively that BOTH of Bieber’s Portugal concerts were sold out, but he was forced to cancel the second show due to logistical problems with the unions.

Braun tells us there are “issues with load out,” referring to the time given to break down the stage and all the equipment from a show, which is why the second concert was the one axed.

As for the Mirror‘s off-base claims of “low ticket sales,” Braun says simply, “The British tabloids are full of sh*t.”

We know Bieber would agree.

Portuguese have good musical taste so… They don’t listen to Justin Bieber.

  • Ajat

People always making up sh*t. Of course they were sold out but idiotic people like the ones who write comments hating on him make up that kind of sh*t. Give the kid a chance and let him be.

    love Scooter :)

I guess you only read what you wanted. The Portuguese are STILL listening to him, in the first concert!

But his critics are going to believe this anyway because they want to-they hate him. The British press as as bad as the one here. but we know standards in journalism have been lowered. Where are Huntley and Brinkley or Eric Severeid, or Walter Cronkite today?

  • missylalawhite

So..who bought the tickets to see his shows? Clearly not any Portuguese citizens right?

  • http://twitter.com/FabulousNails FabulousNails

And they have discovered this issue just now?

Either it’s the truth and many fans were very excited to see the show and will be disapointed which was quite easy to prevent in the 1st place by scheduling the concerts right, or this is BS.

Whatever it is, this is nothing worth boasting about.

I doubt that those going to the sold out concert in portugal are Africans-did god forget to give you a brain?

  • cora

I’m pretty sure that the British tabloids are much worse than the American ones.

  • frelling_cute

Teen idols have an expiration date and Beibers is expired.

  • HipHopExtravaganza

His famewhoring manager is youre source.?……..GC really should stop kissing Biebers a**

  • ivan

Why should his manager lie when there are other persons that can confirm what he said including stadium personel? You should to believe any negative report because you want to see his career ruined.

  • squi

This is not true. I’m from Portugal, and the true is…the sales for the 2nd concert were bad and the first isn’t even sold out! You can check it out on the website that’s selling the tickets

  • ivan

Well he is in Portugal now for a concert tonight-we will see what the truth is. If the first is sold out we know something is wrong with that site’s information-fair enough?

  • Guest

Actually he’s in Amsterdamn and the first show clearly was axed. The second is still happening

  • me

and that is why Justin Bieber just tweeted that the show is SOLDOUT. your argument is invalid.

  • me

    He’s in Lisbon, Portugal.

  • Guest

Last night his friend and his asses were PHOTOGRAPHED in Amsterdamn where they stopped at quickly. NOW he’s in Portugal. So no were do you get YOUR facts?

  • me

from HIS twitter and facebook. Ivan said he was in Portugal now which is correct and you said he was in Amsterdam. His first show is tonight, his second show was the 12th which was cancelled.

  • Lily

This article is obviously false. Low selling concerts are cancelled weeks if not months ahead of the date. They don’t get cancelled 2 or 3 days before.

  • jackalexandria

Didn’t read the article, seriously not interested in his life or music. I saw the picture in the thread and had to ask. What on earth is she wearing on her hands?

  • its brenda

I hope Bieber’s health is okay. The british press is the most lethal vicious and nasty in the world and if they pick on him it means he’s a star.

  • its brenda

Dead or almost dead, I think.

  • Guest

At the time I posted the comment MORON. He was in fact in docking Amsterdamn. Once again your price you don’t know shit

  • Guest

And that right there proves you are an idiot .

  • Nick

    You’re wrong get over it

  • Guest

Actually I’m not when the time I posted the comment he was there and in fact the cameras and paps photographed him comin out of a gas station and his fans went crazy on twitter cause of it. Only after that did he then travel to Portugal. And his team TWEETS confirm they were also there along with Biebers own tweets. So it’s funny you claiming wrong . I have the proof ad facts and you don’t. Stay mad. I don’t give a shit

  • DontNeedAUsername

Actually no. Guest is right. He was there. YOU are wrong here take
Your own advice and you get over it.

  • DontNeedAUsername

Evidently your spelling is the only thing expired

  • Guest

actually Guest and I were both wrong. i didn’t realize you posted an hour before me, so I don’t know where he was an hour before he tweeted that he was in Portugal. You were wrong when you said ” the first show clearly was axed. The second is still happening” His first show was last night, second show was suppose to be today (the 12th), but it was cancelled.

Exactly which is why people shouldn’t have said I was wrong with our knowing facts. And I said that show was axed cause I was going of beliebers tweets I searched who went there. So I went by their judgment. Simple mix up is all.
