WATCH: Justin Bieber Releases “Beauty And A Beat” Video After Publicity Stunt

By Shari Weiss

The joke’s on… everyone?

Supposed threats promising to release incriminating Justin Bieber footage were nothing more than a “publicity stunt” for the singer’s new “Beauty and a Beat” music video with Nicki Minaj.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, the scheme began earlier this week, when Bieber announced on Twitter that his computer and camera were “stolen” during his Washington concert on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, an anonymous blogger began posting short, innocuous videos of Bieber online and threatening on Twitter to release supposedly more damaging material.

Bier vowed on Thursday not to be bothered by the taunts, writing to the Twitter user, “No matter what you have and what you post tomorrow i know my fans wont leave me. screw it. #toostrong.”

Cut to Friday at noon, when the blogger made good on his promise to deliver another video — except the “video” was actually the Bieber-directed music video for his song “Beauty and a Beat.”

Minaj, who appears on the track and in the video, even hinted to the clip on Twitter Thursday, when she wrote, “uh oh…the barbz have a BIG surprise cmng tmrw.”
