Justin Bieber Possibly Being Arrested In Rome Are Just “Rumors,” Says Rep (EXCLUSIVE)
Justin Bieber is a wanted man, and could be arrested in Rome, according to a new report. But a rep for the singer tells Gossip Cop exclusively that talk of an imminent arrest are just “rumors.”
As noted earlier on Wednesday, Bieber’s currently shooting Zoolander 2, but he’s not in immediate danger of being picked up there by Interpol, despite a story by TMZ. A judge in Argentina is supposedly pushing to have Bieber arrested, stemming from a 2013 incident during which the singer and two of his bodyguards, Terrence Reche Smalls and Hugo Alcides Hesny, allegedly attacked a photographer named Diego Pesoa outside a nightclub in Buenos Aires.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Pesoa said he was trying to take a photo of Bieber leaving the club when he was allegedly attacked by the singer and the two members of his security team. Last November, Bieber was supposed to appear in an Argentina court for questioning, but never showed up. As a result, Judge Alberto Banos issued an arrest warrant ordering the “immediate detention” of Bieber and his bodyguards.
Now, says TMZ, Bieber has been added to an Interpol list because of his outstanding warrant, and Argentine authorities want him apprehended in Rome. Gossip Cop reached out to a rep for Bieber, who told us exclusively that talk of the singer being possibly arrested in Rome amounts to nothing more than “rumors.”
