Justin Bieber Apologizes For BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge Performances: “I Was Thrown Off” (VIDEO)
Justin Bieber is apologizing for his less-than-stellar performances for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. Check out the video below.
Bieber kicked off the popular station’s “Live Lounge Month” with an interview and covers of Tracy Chapman and 2Pac. He also sang his own hits, including acoustic versions of recent songs “Cold Water” and “Let Me Love You.” But the superstar flubbed part of the performances, and some fans even criticized his stilted interview answers on social media.
And Bieber is well-aware he wasn’t at the top of his game. After the live broadcast, he tweeted early Thursday morning, “I don’t usually get nervous but tonight I was thrown off and I was. Sorry about that. Really wanted to be my best. Hope u all had fun.” He went on to add, “Just want to make people smile.”
The performer seemed much happier showing off his Los Angeles mansion, where part of the taping took place. Performances are typically held in the Live Lounge studio in London, but holding it in the U.S. allowed Bieber to show fans a look at his life that they don’t typically get to see. He even played basketball with BBC Radio 1 personality Clara Amfo, which both seemed to enjoy.
Bieber will resume his “Purpose World Tour” in exactly a week, on September 8, in Iceland. Check out video of his BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge appearance below.
