Julianne Moore Praises Sarah Palin

VIDEO

(HBO)

Julianne Moore, who plays Sarah Palin in what is reportedly an unflattering portrayal of the one-time vice presidential nominee in the upcoming HBO movie, Game Change, now seems to have sympathy her.

Moore, who tried to mimic Palin by listening to the audio of her book, “Going Rogue,” and sporting her trademark glasses, says, “I do think the situation that she was put in was a completely untenable one.”

The actress explains that Palin enjoyed an “open relationship” with the media when she was the governor of Alaska, but all that changed when she was tapped by Sen. John McCain to be his running mate.

Palin “was suddenly almost in lockdown, where [she] wasn’t allowed to speak to anybody unless it went through the proper channels. They were telling her what to do and how to dress. And how to behave,” Moore tells the New York Post. “So they take a candidate for what she is and what she represents, and they want to make her into something else.”

The former governor of Alaska’s limited knowledge of international affairs at the time, notes Moore, doesn’t mean she’s not smart.

“People did see that she was not as prepared as they would have liked her to be. And they saw it in the various interviews that we all saw,” says Moore, adding however, “I think she’s very canny… And she’s extremely hardworking and ambitious, and would not have reached the place that she reached without ability. You don’t get to be a vice-presidential candidate by accident.”

What do you think of Moore’s comments?

I’m not sure about “praise”, sounds more like a backhanded justification to me.

Yeah and watch my film on HBO because it is such a fair and balanced account of what took place….what a scam. Hollywood should just be allowed to slide into the ocean. These people are a joke!!!!! They are such hypocrites. They say she is this or that, go away, etc but they are standing in line to make money off here name!!!! Pile of bull dropping.

For someome who is so capable and ambitious, its a little difficult to understand why she resigned as Governor of Alaska after only 2 years to be on her own reality show. Someone, please explain that to me!

Phweston0269 I would suggest you watch the movie “Undefeated” and you will see exactly why she resigned.

The Governor’s office was under attack in a coordinated effort to destroy Governor Palin. The office was paralyzed by FOIA requests and ethics complaints. They literally couldn’t do the business of the people. Every time one ethics complaint was dismissed, another was filed. She and her staff were spending all of their time fighting the ethics complaints and complying with the FOIA requests. She had to pay her own legal bills because that is the way that the AK constitution is written, so she was on the path to bankrupting her family.

Between not being able to do the business of the people and the debt she was accruing to defend herself, she decided to resign. If you watch the movie or read her book, Going Rogue, you will understand she had no choice.

Moore has said she despises Palin. Now she says Palin is not that bad. Well, I’ll bet HBO is suddenly aware that its hit job is on the road to failure. Moore may take a look at her future as an actress, also. She is likely to see her ‘base’ shrink to nothing.

Moore should just stick to famously walking onto scenes bottomless (Shortcuts). Her political views are already warped by the uber-leftist dreck that infests Hollyweird. The lefty scum will NEVER portray any Conservative right winger in a positive light – it’s counter to their narrow minded view that all right wingers are neanderthals, and they’re so enlightened.

    Thank you. That explains alot.
