Julianne Hough reveals in a new interview that she isn’t particularly skilled in the “art” of phone sex, admitting that she usually “starts laughing” while trying to get vocally intimate with fiancé Brooks Laich. The actress and dancer also opens up about distancing herself from “Dancing With The Stars” and her break-up with Ryan Seacrest.

Hough is featured on the cover of the February issue of Cosmopolitan, in which she talks about her long-distance relationship with Laich, a professional hockey player whom she met through a co-star in one of her movies. When asked if she spices up her love life with phone sex, Hough says, “Oh, for sure. But I’m really bad at it.” She explains, “I’ll get halfway through and start laughing. It’s an art. I applaud people who are good at it. They need to come and help me keep a straight face!”

And while “Dancing With The Stars” propelled Hough’s career, now that she’s venturing into acting and singing, she doesn’t want to be known as a former reality competition star. “If someone told me they hadn’t seen ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ I would say, ‘Oh, good!'” Hough adds, “I felt like, I’m so much more than this.”

As Gossip Cop reported Hough dated Ryan Seacrest for three years before they split in 2013. About her very public break-up, the dancer says, “I definitely hated that everyone had an opinion about what I was going through.” Hough notes that because she kept actively working following the split, “Sometimes [it] looked like I was totally fine and couldn’t care less, which wasn’t the truth.”
