Judge Joe Brown Arrested and Held in Contempt After Meltdown in Court
Judge Joe Brown was arrested on Monday after a courtroom meltdown.
The former TV personality was at a Memphis juvenile court on behalf of a child support case when he became upset over delays during the hearing.
Brown reportedly flipped out, and became verbally abusive to the court staff, refusing to quiet down despite repeated warnings from the judge.
He had be physically removed from the courtroom, and was ordered to spend five days in jail for contempt, according to local news outlets.
Brown was previously a Shelby County Criminal Court judge, and is currently a candidate for district attorney.
His CBS show “Judge Joe Brown” was canceled last year.
