‘Joy’ Trailer: Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper Reunite For Miracle Mop Movie (VIDEO)
Jennifer Lawrence reunites with Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro for the upcoming movie Joy, and Gossip Cop has the first trailer. The film, directed by David O’Russell, tells the real-life story of Joy Mangano, a single mom of three who became a billionaire after inventing the Miracle Mop. Lawrence plays the title character Joy, while Cooper plays an executive at the Home Shopping Network who is determined to help her sell her new product. Watch the trailer below.
Joy marks the fourth film Lawrence and Cooper have worked together, and her third foray with O’Russell, who also directed American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook. It’s also the first time all three actor reunited with O’Russell since starring in the 2012 film Silver Linings Playbook.
“I have a shorthand with these actors. We share an enormous amount of trust and affection, and it allows us to take risks and we have taken bigger risks in this one,” O’Russell told People about working with Lawrence, Copper and De Niro again. He added that the film, set to hit theaters on December 25, 2015, tells the story from Joy’s perspectiv,e and “it’s very interesting to see that woman become that godmother or boss.”
