It’s official: Joss Whedon will write and direct The Avengers 2.
Disney announced Whedon’s participation in the sequel on Tuesday.
It was also revealed that Whedon will develop a TV series featuring Marvel characters for ABC.

With well over $600 million at the domestic box office (and $1.46 billion worldwide), Whedon’s The Avengers is easily the biggest movie of 2012 and the third-biggest ever behind Avatar and Titanic.
