Can Joshua Ledet be stopped?

As the “American Idol” season winds down, it’s looking more and more unlikely.

The finalist received yet another standing ovation on Wednesday, for his performance of James Brown‘s “It’s a Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World.”

Randy Jackson went as far as calling Ledet’s rendition the best performance ever on any music competition series.

Wow.

    Joshua Ladet was off the chain. His performance was like something I have never seen. There aren’t many people who could show that much emotions with their natural ability to sing. He was like a crazy man on the stage

    I have to agree with Randy.. This was an incredible performance.. If you have an ear for serious talent, then you will know what we are witnessing with Joshua Ledet is a true legend in the making… Like James Brown, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and so on… True legends only come around every 10 years or so.. Joshua is it!! You won’t witness another star like this on one of these shows for another 10 years or so… Sorry Xfactor, Simon Cowell really missed out with Joshua.. Joshua is the kind of star all these singing contests have been looking for… I tell you right now there is not one winner, (of all singing competitions) in the whole world who is worthy of legendary status… Now they have truly found it.. Joshua Ledet!!! And you can be proud to say that you witnessed it live on TV… The finale is going to be EPIC!!

    That part at 1.32 is true talent.. WOW!! One of many moments like that prove he is the real deal.. He feels the music.. just awesome to witness!!!

    lol, Juliet Simms, can sing yes.. But thats all she does.. She doesn’t feel it like Joshua does, and she lacks emotion.. When you see Joshua sing, you see he feels it, he shows emotion and is very very compelling to watch.. Plus he has a much better voice!!

    Wow! I love your comment Crystal! And I agree! Who would ever want to watch a concert where these other people are singing? But I could watch Joshua for days! He’s not only got the voice, but the connection to the song, and he performs! Very entertaining! I can see him playing Vegas like Celine Dion did.

    He is definitely an old soul! He sang the #$#@@ out of that song! And that note he hit! Wow!! He had me standing on my feet SHOUTING! He took it to church! I almost threw my show at the TV! AMAZING!!! Truely annointed! He deserves to be the American Idol this Season with previous MEDIOCRE idols from the previous years, It is time for some real talent to win this year! Go Joshua!

    I am trying so hard to hear what everyone else seems to be hearing and I just do not get it. He sings with soul, but his voice grating and nasal. I am sorry if you like him, but even if he wins, I don’t think he will be much a success in popular music.

    i live in the Caribbean (Dominica) and its about 98 degrees outside and watching this performance, im literally ghostly, goosebumps, shivers n all. Joshua is the man!!!

    It seems that winners from these types of shows are rarely successful long term in the music business. Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson (wait, she didn’t actually win!) Somebody help me remember some others from this show or other shows who’s winners have long term success!

    I was unfamiliar with Juliet Simms version, so I just watched it on You Tube. I’ve gotta say I prefer Josh’s by a mile! Juliet was ok, but she would’ve been sent home by now had she been on Idol. It quite frankly would not have been close!

    Josh definitely has talent. If either Josh or Sanchez were on the show in different years it would be hands down for either. Sanchez is great also. What a finish if they become the top two. Phillip Phillips is good, he has that Joe Cocker persona but then Joe is not the BEST singer ever. Philip has a C to C range (very limited). He just sits there on every song and plays his guitar. Both Josh and Sanchez have a piano range (all the keys of a piano) and actually preform. If American Idol is a Talent context it’s Josh and Sanchez over the top. If it’s a popularity context then Philip has a really good chance. My vote is J and S.
