Joshua Jackson “Cheating” Report FALSE
“More Cheating?” asks RadarOnline in a headline that further reads, “Joshua Jackson Caught With Actress Crystal Reed Weeks Before Diane Kruger Split.” Jackson and Reed were photographed on what the webloid calls a “coffee date.” Though there is no evidence that the outing was anything but platonic, the photos are used to suggest there was an inappropriate relationship.
The outlet writes, “Love is a two-way street, at least for Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger,” noting that Kruger herself was accused of cheating last year. After regurgitating those claims, the webloid asserts that Jackson’s public hangout with Reed “seems to be his version of a nod to the split.” It’s also said that, “perhaps not so coincidentally,” he and Kruger hadn’t “been spotted out together since February.”
That’s actually a provably false lie, though. Jackson and Kruger were actually photographed in New York City on Friday and Saturday, days before announcing the breakup. So, not only does RadarOnline have that wrong, but it also has nothing to back up its implication that Jackson was cheating before the split.
Rather, the site is doing what it so often does: Taking paparazzi photos, putting them in a gallery, and creating a narrative around the pictures to trick people into clicking through the slideshow. It’s about scoring traffic, not delivering accurate news about the end of Jackson’s relationship.
