Josh Elliott Wedding To Liz Cho Attended By NBC Colleagues, Despite Report
“NBC nowhere to be found at Josh Elliott’s wedding,” reads the headline of a completely erroneous story from New York Post. According to a mean-spirited piece by the tabloid, “None of Josh Elliott’s NBC colleagues were present at his wedding to WABC anchor Liz Cho Saturday.” The Post then states, “While there was no sign of Elliott’s NBC colleagues, the couple were married by former ‘GMA’ weatherman Sam Champion.” Newsflash: Sam Champion is the managing editor of The Weather Channel, which is owned by NBCUniversal.
In listing other guests at the very small wedding, which took place on Saturday in Montecito, California, the Post notes, “Also there was Cho’s co-anchor Bill Ritter, the Golf Channel’s Matt Ginella, Christopher Reeve’s son Will Reeve, a former intern for Elliott, and WABC meteorologist Lee Goldberg.” So, of the four other guests mentioned by the tabloid, two of them are colleagues of the bride, one was Elliott’s old intern, and the fourth is Ginella of the Golf Channel. Newsflash: The Golf Channel is run by NBC Sports, a division of NBCUniversal. The paper also missed that NBC News producer Rich McHugh was at the intimate ceremony.
Gossip Cop understands tabloids like presenting drama; however, claiming “none of Josh Elliott’s NBC colleagues were present at his wedding” is nasty and 100 percent not true. On a nicer note, Gossip Cop hopes Cho and Elliott share many more years of health, happiness and love together, along with their families and friends… at NBC.
