Jordan Sasser “American Idol” Audition Video: Singer Auditions With Wife Alex
Jordan Sasser and his wife Alex both auditioned on Wednesday’s season 15 premiere of “American Idol,” but unfortunately, only one of them received a golden ticket to Hollywood. Watch below!
The couple first teased each other about which would be named the final “American Idol” winner, and then walked into the audition together, with Jordan holding their baby daughter. He went on to joke she would be the new “American Idol” mascot, and cracked it was a “little awkward” that both he and his wife were trying out. Alex went first, using a ukulele as she sang Bruno Mars’ “Count On Me.”
All the judges thought Alex was lacking “passion” and wasn’t “compelling,” while Harry Connick, Jr. even said it was “distracting” with Jordan and their baby watching. And then he managed to captivate the panel with Celine Dion’s “It’s All Coming Back To Me.” Jennifer Lopez copped to getting teary, and Connick called the audition “terrific.” Keith Urban still offered praise to Alex for being, like her husband, buoyant.
But it was only Jordan who was invited to continue on to the next stage of the competition. “I’m going, she’s not,” he told their family afterward. Alex cried, and even blamed her husband for her own failure. “I’m never good enough,” she told him. Jordan’s “awkward” prediction ended up being an understatement. Check out the video below.
