VIDEO: Jonah Hill Raps Drake Cover and Scarlett Johansson Sings For Vice Party
Jonah Hill and Scarlett Johansson performed music at a wild 20th anniversary party for Vice on Friday. The event in Brooklyn also featured a number of performances from artists including Lil Wayne, Jarvis Cocker, unofficial host/emcee Andrew W.K., and Pussy Riot. But the cover songs sung by Hill and Johansson may have been the party’s highlights.
Johansson performed a rendition of New Order’s “Bizarre Love Triangle,” while Hill came to the stage to rap his own version of Drake’s “Marvins Room.” Hill jokingly told the crowd, “My heart’s been broken. I thought you and I were friends, Drake. Accept my friendship.” Watch fan-shot videos of both moments below. There should be better quality, official clips coming.
The night was organized as a faux, three-hour “music festival,” with the lineup of artists performing for short stretches on a stage at the Duggal Greenhouse at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Stephen Malkmus, Meredith Graves, Karen O, Spike Jonze and other notables took the stage at various points. Check out some of the footage below, and tell us what you think! Note: Johansson is no longer available.
