Jon Dorenbos “America’s Got Talent” Video: Watch NFL Magician In Semifinals!
Jon Dorenbos once again had the judges in awe of his magic skills on “America’s Got Talent” on Tuesday. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, Dorenbos plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, but has been performing magic tricks since he was a kid. With his NFL career, being a magician has been a side gig, but the “AGT” competition is on its way to turning it into a full-time job. He shocked the panel of judges during his audition, and then Dorenbos’s magic did so again during the “AGT” quarterfinals last month.
Of course, the football player is expected to raise the bar with each subsequent appearance, and that’s exactly what he did for his semifinal performance. He took the stage with an old journal, a treasure chest, and a large map of the U.S. Dorenbos had each of the judges throw footballs at the map, with Dorenbos adding up the numbers on whichever state each ball landed on.
He then had Howie use a key from the journal to open the chest and take out the coin change in it. When the totals didn’t match, the real trick was revealed: The states on the back of each coin matched the states the judges had hit with the balls. More amazingly, Dorenbos then pulled out a small map that correctly predicted the state each judge would land on.
Naturally, a standing ovation followed. “I was kind of speechless,” Mel B said afterward, adding, “It purely is magical. Absolutely magical.” Heidi Klum told him, “Jon, this was your best touchdown yet!” And Simon Cowell even said, “I think this is the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen on one of these shows.” Check out the full video below!
