Johnny Depp: Vanessa Paradis and I Are Not Splitting

Johnny Depp has denied reports that he and Vanessa Paradis are splitting.

The Dark Shadows star addressed the gossip during a red carpet appearance at the movie’s London premiere on Wednesday.

He is quoted as telling reporters, “The rumors are not true. They are absolutely not true.”

Depp added, “No matter what I say about this, people believe the opposite. I can’t say enough about it not being over.”

In January, People put the couple on its cover and declared their relationship “all but officially finished.”

Depp and Paradis have been together since 1998.

They have two children.

    He didn’t even have to address this, it’s their business. But he is right, no matter what he says there will be those who will believe the opposite & think he’s just in denial.

    I for one am glad he did address this rumor. I have always liked him and think that he has a sense of decency not seen often in the celebrity world. He has always spoken of his family with much pride, and does not use them to create attention for himself. I don’t think we will see his kid’s in the tabloids any time soon. They are a beautiful couple. Those that make their living catering to people that believe, if it’s written it must be true, will always create untrue stories to sell their rags.

    Since when do tabloids including People care about the truth. All couples have tough times but it does not mean they are splitting. These tabs are like flies waiting for something to sit on. I wish them the best.
